30 Minute Cardio Pyramid


I’ve always heard it. When  I worked at the gym, when I talked to friends and family, and I’ve even heard it by ‘accident’ (whoops evesdropping…); “I just don’t have time to go to the gym.” If it were  4 months ago I would’ve totally called anyone out on that.

‘Of course you have time…’

‘Come on, it’s not THAT hard to get your booty to the gym…

‘Just take the time to make time!

Fast-forward to today.

Girl, I feel you. Finding time to get to the gym is a lot harder than it was pre-Kreed. Now  I understand what it’s like to try to juggle work, a household, and a child. BUT (yes, there is always a but) just because it’s hard to find the time to get yourself to the gym doesn’t mean you should just  give up  on  exercise all together. I still believe that everyone needs to TAKE the time to MAKE time for exercise! Get moving at home! It’s fast and, the best part, it’s FREE!

I challenge each  of you to commit 30 minutes per day, 4-5 days per week, to exercise. Now I know what some of you are thinking, “But where do I start? I’m not sure what to do!” No problem! I’m here to help! I will  be writing up  at home workouts that can be  completed in 30 minutes time. Not only will they be child friendly, but fur-baby friendly as well! Utilize nap time, extra time before work, or in the evenings after dinner! Some of these workouts will be full body and others will  focus on certain areas.

Today lets talk cardio. Who really  loves cardio? Not many people. The good news is that cardio does not always equal running. In fact, there are a lot of ways to make  cardio fun that have nothing to do with running! Today we’re  going to use several exercises to create a cardio pyramid.

45 Squats

40 Lunges (20 per leg)

30 Burpees/Up Downs

15 Lunges (each leg)
