Family Over Everything
There are moments in life when you realize how unimportant your ‘problems’ are.
Your wifi isn’t fast enough.
It’s hot outside.
There are bills to pay.
All of those ‘problems’ are so small in the scheme of things.
"Family" isn't defined only by last names or by blood; its defined by commitment and by love. It means showing up when they need it most. It means having each other's backs. It means choosing to love each other even on those days when you struggle to like each other. It means never giving up on each other.
I was recently reminding of just how precious life can be and how important it is to always put your family first. The Lord truly humbled me and made me realize that while my problems can wait, my family can not.
It is so important to tell your family that you love them.
Spend time with them.
Don’t put them on the back burner.
Life gets stressful and busy but at the end of the day your family is all that you have. If tomorrow were your last day on Earth, would you be proud of how you spent today?
Sometimes the worse things imaginable can happen to the most caring people who deserve it the least. Nobody is exempt from the power of God and while He may put battles in front of us I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason and He will always take care of us.
God is love.
God is good.
God is family.
This week I challenge all of you to take time to reach out to all of those who you love and care about. I can assure you that even a gesture as small as a text or call will be so appreciated.
Tomorrow is never guaranteed so make today count.
Family. Over. Everything.
